How do I start using ASAP ? Go to Windows Start menu
On the left portion of the screen are navigation buttons - these buttons are always present. To navigate from one function to another simply click the appropriate button.
How do I load a SAS® program into ASAP ? While in the Document Manager locate the file on the Local panel. Select (click) to highlight the file you wish to load and then click on the Editor or the Visualizer button on the navigation panel, alternatively, you can also double click on a file, and it will be loaded onto ASAP 's Editor. If your file is located on a drive other than the c:\ drive and the drive letter does not appears as a tab in the Local panel, then, click on the Options menu and select the Document Manager Configuration menu item. The Document Manager Configuration screen will pop-up allowing you to select the drive(s), including all your mapped network drives that you want to displayed as tab in the Local panel. If your file is located on a remote server, you must first retrieves it from the remote server by selecting and dragging it from a directory in the Remote panel into a directory in the Local Panel. If the server does not appears as a tab in the Remote Panel, click the Site Manager button on the left (navigation panel) to go to the Site Manager, select the Server profile and click on the connect ftp button to return to the Document Manager. The server that you wish to retrieve the file from will appear as a tab in the Remote panel. While in the Site Manager, if you cannot locate the server profile that you want to retrieve the file from, all you need to do is to create a profile for the remote server. After you have created the Server profile, you can then select the server profile and click on the connect ftp button to return to the Document Manager. The server that you wish to retrieve the file from should appears as a tab in the Remote panel.
